2021 Mini Sessions

Minneapolis Family Photographer

I don’t know about everyone else, but I am loving the semi-normal feel of summer this year! COVID is on the retreat (and hopefully stays that way!) and I am once again looking forward to my annual fall mini sessions. Spots will open up to repeat clients at noon on Monday, July 26 and to new clients, if spots are left, at noon on Monday, August 2. Email me via the contact link to grab your spot!

What: Fall Mini Sessions 2021! All sessions include both classic portraits as well as candid moments.

When & Where: Two options for this year! An urban location somewhere in or near Minneapolis, exact location TBD depending on construction in the cities this fall – on Saturday, September 25. And a field in the NW Metro, exact location TBD – on Saturday, October 9.

Minneapolis In-Home Newborn Photographer

Summer babies are here in full swing! This adorable couple became a family of three when they brought home their little one, who decided she wanted to make us all wait an extra week for her arrival, but she was so worth it. No fussing, crying, or trying to break out of her swaddle at her in-home newborn session; just snuggles and a peaceful, sleepy little face. I also love when the family’s resident fur baby can be part of the photography session.

Expecting your own little one soon? Email me today to find out about openings for maternity and newborn sessions this fall and winter.

As I mentioned in my other blog post, I’ve had family sessions with twin sisters back to back this spring season and they are all just too dang cute for words! This gorgeous momma is a fellow photographer and capturing her family every year is always a highlight. Even though we didn’t have tons of sunshine for this session, this location is so green and lovely it didn’t even matter.Champlin Family Photographer

I have had two sessions in the last two weeks with twin daughters plus a brother and let me tell you: twins. love. hard. They laugh hard and run hard and play hard and they love hard. It’s so special to watch. Is getting three kids to look at the camera at the same time and smile easy? No. But that’s why I’m the professional 😉

This family wanted to use a lovely flower garden close to their home with an amazing water fountain and that made their photos all the more special. In-home sessions are the most personalized, but outdoor sessions at a park or other meaningful spot to your family are the next best thing. And, when in doubt – if you live in a condo or not close to any parks – again, I am the professional and I’m here to help with lots of lovely location options in Edina, Minneapolis, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Champlin and beyond. Email me today to get your next family photography session on the books!

Champlin Extended Family Photographer

This family – mom, dad, and their two littles – have come to me for three sessions in 1.5 years because they have brought the two sides of their families along to each of the last sessions. I love it! Extended family sessions are so important and meaningful, especially with the year we all had in 2020 due to COVID. Grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins – you name it, I love it. Extended family sessions always have a few more traditional everyone-look-at-the-camera-and-smile images than single family sessions, but we make sure to leave time in there for those candid shots that are so precious to have. Plus, who doesn’t love a candid grandpa giggle?

In addition to not charging any extra per person fee for extended family sessions, I also have a handful of great locations around the Minneapolis suburbs that can be used for sessions earlier in the evening. No waiting around for 8:30pm golden hour in the summer when you have babies on hand! Email me today to book your generational family session; the more the merrier!
